企业家信条出自谁的手笔？

近年，随着央视《公司的力量》一片走红，一段企业家信条也烩炙人口，深受欢迎。该片在引用这段信条时称其出自美国革命的精神灵魂人物托马斯·潘恩的手笔，出处是其名著《常识》。

　　我不会选择做一个普通人。
　　我有权利与众不同——只要我能。
　　我谋求机会——而非安稳。
　　我不想在国家的照顾下
　　成为一名被掌控的公民，既卑下又愚钝。
　　我要故意去冒险，
　　去梦想、去创造，
　　去失败、去成功。
　　我拒绝放弃激励来换取施舍，
　　我宁愿接受生活的挑战，不愿过别人保证的生活；
　　宁愿要自我实现的震颤，不愿要乌托邦腐烂的宁静。
　　我不会拿我的自由去与慈善作交易
　　也不会拿我的尊严去与嗟来之食作交易。
　　我决不会在任何主人面前退缩
　　也不会为任何恐吓所屈服。
　　我的天性是挺胸直立，骄傲而无畏；
　　自主地思考和行动；
　　享受自己的创造收获的利益；
　　我大胆地直面世界
　　然后说：
       “这一切，在上帝的帮助下，我已做到。”

但 是，该信条并非托马斯·潘恩所撰，亦非出自其名著《常识》一书，你在该书中无法查到此信条。该信条原称《一个美国人的信条》（An American's Creed），简称《我的信条》（My Creed），亦被称为《美国企业家信条》（Entrepreneur's Credo of the American），出自美国政治家迪安·阿方吉（Dean Alfange，1897~1989）手笔。该信条于1950年刊登在《本周》杂志（This Week Magazine）上。后来其浓缩版曾于1952年10月和1954年1月被两次刊登在《读者文摘》杂志（Reader's Digest）上。阿方吉因此曾于1952年获得福奇谷自由基金会（Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge）的大奖。福奇谷是美国独立战争期间大陆军的驻地，素为美国革命圣地，象征自由独立之传统。

该信条英文原文为：

I do not choose to be a common person.
It is my right to be uncommon—if I can.
I seek opportunity—not security.
I do not wish to be a kept citizen,
humbled and dulled by having the state look after me.
I want to take the calculated risk,
to dream and to build,
to fail and to succeed.
I refuse to barter incentive for a dole;
I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence;
the thrill of fulfillment to the stale calm of Utopia.
I will not trade my freedom for beneficence
nor my dignity for a handout.
I will never cower before any master
nor bend to any threat.
It is my heritage to stand erect, proud, and unafraid;
to think and act for myself;
to enjoy the benefit of my creations;
and to face the world boldly
and say:
"This, with God's help, I have done."
